SpaceX CRS-18 Launch | July 24th at 6:24PM EDT

Posted by Alexander Boyce on

Today, July 24th at 6:24PM EDT, SpaceX plans to launch its 18th mission of NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract (CRS-18) from Launch Complex 40 aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. This mission is to deliver supplies, equipment and science investigations to the International Space Station. It will also carry the third International Docking Adapter.

The SpaceX Dragon capsule for this mission, badged with an “Apollo 50th” commemorative graphic, is set to separate from Falcon 9’s second stage only 9 short minutes after liftoff. Then, Dragon is set to attach to the space station on Friday.

Live coverage begins 15 minutes prior to target launch time. At this time, there is only a 30% chance of favorable launch weather. If this launch is scrubbed, there is a backup launch opportunity on Thursday, July 25th at 6:01 PM EDT.
